Amazing film!
I randomly found this movie and thought I have seen him somewhere and so I Googled the movie's name. Then found out that he is Brendan Fraser - Mummy movie fame. Ok, great so he is finally back with a movie. So, I began to look for trailers and reviews and it was like a 3:1 ratio. Filtered the one-star reviews and all reviews are like “ its a propaganda to downvote Christianity and upvote workerism”. 😂
So I thought ok let’s give it a chance because all these reviewing patterns are more like a planned campaign and all usernames are like “Jesus, Raising In Christ, etc”. Typical fanatic behavior!
Now comes the movie
The movie grabbed attention with the first scene where the character is showing all the symptoms of dying due to a cardiac arrest and with his body we can understand how painful it is. Such an amazing background score gave all the intensity.
The whole movie is in a dark-lighted room but with excellent cinematography, it never felt congested. There were no sudden movements. Just like the character.
At this point, we know that he is going to die in this movie and the more exploring the character the sad it will be!
Here onwards the movie started to move at a slow pace without any boring moments. Introduced a supporting character and she acted so well that we can see the angry, sad, and confused face with her body language. One scenario is below.
When everyone loses hope, even if his condition was like this, he trusted his daughter and that is what this movie is about. He is trying to fix one mistake he did.
He is saying an emotional and powerful sentence while he was with his ex-wife and when she storms out and it is well delivered.
Charlie: I need to know that I have done one right thing with my life!
Anyway, the ending was sad but powerful. They never showed the emotional way of death but a spiritual way. The way the Moby-Dick reference with his standing was outstanding. And the daughter reacts first with offensive language and then dissolved with emotions!
The majority of people who give negative reviews are from far-right - conservative Christians”. So give it a try if you want to explore a character like this.

I hope Brendan Fraser will get an Oscar for this.
