Storyline
A teenage boy with constant thoughts of suicidal tendencies is trying to unite with his divorced and remarried father, who happens to be the father of his stepbrother. And then, the father is trying to deal with his son the way he expected to be treated by his father. But fate is different.
I cannot explain how much I liked Hugh Jackman’s performance in this beautiful drama movie. It’s slow-paced, but somehow, I connected with this movie and finished it in one go. Maybe it is because of my problems with my father, and I don’t know; I could see myself in all three generations in this movie - Peter’s father, Peter, and his son.
Excellent camera works, I’d say. It’s just that the movements are so subtle that we can feel each scene. When he thinks or shouts. Now back to Hugh Jackamsn’s performance, I really liked his acting and appearance throughout the film. He is a calm, decent gentleman trying to do good for his family. He acted so well that we can feel the pain when he just lost it at the end. The extraordinary background score at that time elevated that climax scene to a different emotional level. I uploaded that specific part to YouTube to remind you that you can cry, which is ok. Feelings are an essential part of being human. This is my favorite movie by Hugh Jackman.

All the other actors did their jobs well, making the movie an excellent and thought-provoking experience. I plan to do shot-by-shot edits of this movie's emotional scenes.
And just to remind you, I got a story thread from this movie. I hope I'll soon start writing about it. I mean, I guess it's time, and I got what I was looking for.
