Everything, literally everything is behind a paywall or profile wall these days. Nothing is free and open anymore.
The introduction and people's acceptance of Generative AI are impacting the internet. Everyone is locking up their platforms. Is it necessary? Yeah, I agree partially, but demanding an API price which is not practical?!
Reading the news is too complicated these days. The good-for-nothing ads, pop-ups to pause the adblocker, paywall pops up, access account pop up… aargh... I don't want to deal with any of it.
I saw the news regarding the limits of reading tweets, which got me thinking. To use the so-called “social media” we have a ration per day. We have come too far I guess. This is why I hate monopolies. They can decide without considering the “user” factor. They are not bothered about what people feel. They are in this position because of these users. So just completely suffocate them with new rules and policies every day?
I don't wanna be a part of this controlled demolition of people's freedom to choose. I wish for more decentralized platforms soon.
They are selling these data or using them for their own needs. But are they paying back with this logic? We are not choosers. We are beggars in this world.
They are deciding what to watch or see with their manipulated algorithms.
